Siamangs and Gibbon

Siamangs and gibbons are called “lesser apes” they are smaller than the great apes and they spend more time in trees.  Like great apes (and unlike monkeys) they do not have tails.  There are 15 species of gibbons and some are very near extinction.  Siamangs are the largest gibbon.
